Dryocosmus kuriphilus
Yasumatsu (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae) is the most important insect pest of chestnut.
In this study, we identified 4 bacteria isolates from D.kuriphilus coolected in chestnut, in Turkey. According to their
morphological, physiological, biochemical, and molecular properties, the
isolates were identified as Staphylococcus
saprophyticus (Dk 1), Paenibacillus
sp. (Dk2, Dk4) and Pseudomonas
flourescens (Dk3). In the future, their biological control properties will
be investtigated. This is the first study on the bacterial flora of D.kuriphilus.
